Dr. Bond Harman
Dr. Bond Harman says that the best thing about his job, by far, is getting to know his patients while helping them navigate their treatment. He’s always happy to take the time to help his patients feel heard and in control of what's going on in their mouths, ensuring that the journey toward their new smiles is just as enjoyable as their results.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Harman grew up in a household of physicians, so the idea of a healthcare career came to him at a young age. He knew he wanted to work in medicine, but he also wanted to use his hands and artistic abilities to serve people. Dentistry presented the best of both worlds, and by the time he started college, he was sure the dental field was where he wanted to be.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Harman obtained both his bachelor's and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from the University of Iowa. His dental education consisted of clinical rotations within community health clinics, giving him valuable experience treating geriatric patients and those with special needs. He began his private practice career in Parker, CO at Harman Family Dental Center. After five years, he and his wife relocated to Indiana where he joined Martinez Dentistry in August of 2022.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Originally from Cedar Rapids, IA, Dr. Harman met his wife while in dental school. A big reason they came to Indiana was to be closer to their siblings. Both of Dr. Harman’s sisters live in Noblesville, while his wife has a brother in Cicero. They love seeing their nephews and nieces often, but otherwise, you’ll find Dr. Harman watching the Colts, Pacers, and Indians. He also loves to golf, fly fish, and ski whenever he can!
